Meet Sam
Growing up in rural Idaho, from a very young age, I was obsessed with anything that had an engine, not just the mechanical aspect, but really enjoying vehicles for whatever purpose they were built for. That’s why I started Metric Imports, the small details that most shops overlook, the purpose behind every build, and for the love and passion that many owners of these special cars share with me.
My journey started in the automotive industry a decade ago, when it seemed like all I was doing was saving money from my job to modify my WRX, after taking my car to different shops, I quickly realized that not all of them are created equal. That’s where my dream of bringing quality work and passion to every vehicle we saw in the shop started. Fast forward 10 years later, multiple ASE certifications, and plenty of trial and error, Metric Imports was born. The goal remains unchanged. After all this time it’s still, and will always be,

Meet Allie
Born and raised in the Flathead Valley, Allie recognizes that small business owners are the backbone of our community. She comes from a family of entrepreneurs who have cleaned and poured the foundations for countless homes right here in the Flathead. This lead her down the very same path of entrepreneurship and starting her own bookkeeping business - Northern Lights Bookkeeping, LLC in 2025.
In 2019, Allie graduated from the University of Montana with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. Both the degree and her life experiences taught her the importance of having good listening skills and a good handshake. You will find her in the office at Metric Imports answering the phone, greeting customers, ordering parts, and doing the books.
Allie drives a 2008 BMW 535xi twin turbo. When her and Sam were on a trip to Spokane to car shop, he showed her the listing for it and she immediately knew she had to have it. It’s the go-to vehicle for road trips for her, Sam, and their three Australian Shepherds due to it’s smooth drive-ability. Especially at high speeds around highway corners.
